The Body Shop Body Butter

Blogmas day 16 gives you a review on my current favourite body butter!

The Body Shop are known for their incredible skin care line and I totally agree. I swear by the tea tree range for my face and with that, I’ve recently picked up the most incredible body butter ever.

I’ve been so hit and miss with body butter’s in the past, sometimes they’re good, other times they just leave me feeling sticky and I cant put clothes on right away. However, The Body Shop Frosted Berries Body Butter is beautiful. I don’t know whether it’s just this one or whether it’s the whole range but from what I know, it’s incredible.

I do believe that this specific one is actually from the Christmas 2016 range, which is why I got it at a discounted price from £15 to £6. Which is an amazing deal since it’s a 200ml tub of heaven!

I like to apply this right after I’ve had a shower and dried my skin, it just leave my skin feeling so soft, gentle and moisturised. The thing I really like is that at the end of the day, when I’m ready for bed, I still feel all those things and the scent just stays with you all day long. It’s honestly beautiful.

This one has a mixture of so many berry smells but I can really smell the raspberry scent which is probably why I love it so much. Since wearing this I’ve had so many compliments on what I smell like, which I personally think there is nothing better than someone telling me I smell good!

If you’re able too, I’d go and take a look at the selection that your local Body Shop has and test one out for yourself! It’s incredible and I highly recommend.

Favourite Things About Christmas

Hey, Guys!

Christmas is near and I’ve just finished university for 3 whole weeks, yippee! As a little treat to you guys, for this full week you’ll be getting a new post everyday until Christmas Eve. Be sure to check back here everyday at 1pm for a new blog post. Merry Christmas!

As you know by now I love Christmas and for my family it’s a busy time of year but it’s the best. There is nothing better than spending the festive period with your loved ones to celebrate. We make such a huge effort at Christmas time and my parents home looks like Santa’s grotto for around 6 weeks (yep, i’m serious it’s that long), the kids love it and I love having the chance to relax and spend time with my friends and family. I thought I’d let you guys know what my favourite things are about Christmas!

#1 – From around November 1st the Christmas Spirit is in full speed and everybody is preparing for Christmas. I love the upcoming weeks to Christmas when everybody spends their weekends shopping, taking the kids to visit Santa and his reindeer and visiting Winter Wonderland. It’s such a great time and I really enjoy the build up to Christmas. It’s so lovely to walk down the high street and hear people singing Christmas Carols and dancing around the supermarket to Wham!. Nothing is better than seeing my Niece become a big ball of excitement because Santa will be here soon. My Nephew, Ethan is almost 1 year old and this is his first Christmas, I can’t wait to see his little face on Christmas either.

#2- Christmas films are a brilliant way to get you in the Christmas spirit. I love turning on the TV with a cup of hot chocolate and curl up with a good Christmas film. It’s so relaxing and peaceful to chill out, especially after busy day, with a film and it’s even better to do with your loved ones. Every Christmas eve, my parents, brother and I always like to sit down and watch a film together before the business of Christmas begins.

#3- My favourite thing is giving people gifts that I know they’ll love and appreciate. I like to buy gifts for my friends and family that I know they’ll love and be so grateful for. I’m not one of those people that needs to receive a present when I’ve given one to someone, I just love giving people that little something to let them know I’m so grateful to have them in my life and appreciate the things they have done to help me through the year.

There you have it, my favourite things about Christmas. What are yours? let me know in the comments.

Pamper Evening Routine

I love a good pampering just like anybody and especially when I’ve had a stressful day. I love nothing more than to run myself a bath, face mask on and a good book at hand. What better way to relax and unwind.

After a stressful day I like to head home and put my comfy clothes on. I feel like once I’ve removed my bra and put my comfies on I’m set for the evening and nobody or nothing will get me back into my day clothes. I’ve opted for my grey jogging bottoms, baggy t-shirt and my grey slippers. I remove all my makeup using the L’Oreal Micellar Water and then use the Avène Cleanance Cleansing Gel.

At this point I’m probably hungry and I’ll go ahead and make some food, depending on how crappy the day has been I’ll either opt for some form of healthy meal or devour a pizza with no concern.

Now my tummy is full I’ll run myself a bath and add a Lush bath bomb or bubble bath. Today I’ve chosen Radox Stress Relief Bath Cream. It’s a gorgeous rosemary and eucalyptus smell and adds so much loving to my bath. It’s designed to calm stressful mood and it does exactly that.

Whilst the bath is running I’ll put a face mask on, I used the L’Oreal Detox Clay Mask. I love this one because it makes my skin feel and look amazing and healthy and it helps my skin to feel cleaner.

After the bath I’ll moisturise my face and body, using the Rituals Magic Body Cream on my body and the Avène Thermal Spring Water and the Avène Cleanance Expert moisturiser.

At this point decide whether I want to read a book, watch a film (usually a rom-com) or a TV Show and this time I went for FRIENDS because when can you ever not love FRIENDS?

I’ll cuddle up on my duvet, possibly with some ice cream or cake.. maybe even both and prepare myself for a night of relaxing.

What’s your pamper evening routine? Let me know In the comments.

Throughout 2016 I’ve become to appreciate the little and big things in life a little bit more. For me this year hasn’t been the easiest and now it’s coming to an end I’ve realised that I’ve learned so much this year and loved each month and every challenge I’ve faced. The little things can often be the ones that make the most impact and I definitely agree, I’m so grateful for everything that I have in my life and I definitely think I take it for granted at times. These are 50 things that I’m grateful for. Some may not seem like they’re something to be grateful for, such as open mic nights but I love a good open mic night with friends, a few drinks and listening to people sing and appreciate the songs, the art people have created. Others may be totally obvious things to be grateful for, like love. The memories I have with my siblings will never be forgotten and the endless amount of support from my friends and family keeps me going through the shitty times. Matthew, my goodness. He is truly fantastic and I appreciate every cuddle, kiss and smile he gives me.  I couldn’t be more grateful for my parents marriage, they are a prime example of not giving up on someone regardless of the amount of times they mess up or annoy you, love is simply the best medicine.
