Recently I’ve been all about the happy in my life. If I don’t like it, I lump it. All I ever want is to be and feel happy and by achieving that, I’ve done everything I can be stay positive and keep the happy in and the negativity out.
As we change and life gets on top of us, we realise that we’re often ignoring the things that really make a difference in our lives. So many people ignore this and many people never do something about it. It’s crazy to me that our lives become so tangled that we’re consumed by the people and the things that mean very little and not enough of the things that truly make a difference.
Like I said, my mission these past few months is to really make a difference in my happiness. To do this I made a list, a list of pros and cons about my life. This might seem a little weird but honestly it made the world of difference. For years I’ve thought that certain things in my life weren’t necessary and I didn’t need them to make me happy but really, this list made me see otherwise.
Number 1. Remove the people, the materialistic things and the negativity by choosing what makes you happy. Does your job make you happy? Your friends? Your home? The city/town you live in? Carefully consider the aspects of your life and decide what and who you need.
Number 2. Do something about it. You may think quitting your job, moving somewhere new or removing people from your life is hard. I don’t disagree with that at all, it is! However, without the change you’ll never see your happy ending.
Number 3. Don’t be afraid to stand your ground. Be assertive, understand what you want and commit. If that means upsetting a few people along the way then so be it. Sometimes we all have to be a little selfish. We all have to do something that others might not be happy with, but if you are then go ahead. Bitches get shit done. So don’t be a push over.
Number 4. Do more of the things that make you happy.

Christmas is near and I’ve just finished university for 3 whole weeks, yippee! As a little treat to you guys, for this full week you’ll be getting a new post everyday until Christmas Eve. Be sure to check back here everyday at 1pm for a new blog post. Merry Christmas!
As you know by now I love Christmas and for my family it’s a busy time of year but it’s the best. There is nothing better than spending the festive period with your loved ones to celebrate. We make such a huge effort at Christmas time and my parents home looks like Santa’s grotto for around 6 weeks (yep, i’m serious it’s that long), the kids love it and I love having the chance to relax and spend time with my friends and family. I thought I’d let you guys know what my favourite things are about Christmas!
#1 – From around November 1st the Christmas Spirit is in full speed and everybody is preparing for Christmas. I love the upcoming weeks to Christmas when everybody spends their weekends shopping, taking the kids to visit Santa and his reindeer and visiting Winter Wonderland. It’s such a great time and I really enjoy the build up to Christmas. It’s so lovely to walk down the high street and hear people singing Christmas Carols and dancing around the supermarket to Wham!. Nothing is better than seeing my Niece become a big ball of excitement because Santa will be here soon. My Nephew, Ethan is almost 1 year old and this is his first Christmas, I can’t wait to see his little face on Christmas either.
#2- Christmas films are a brilliant way to get you in the Christmas spirit. I love turning on the TV with a cup of hot chocolate and curl up with a good Christmas film. It’s so relaxing and peaceful to chill out, especially after busy day, with a film and it’s even better to do with your loved ones. Every Christmas eve, my parents, brother and I always like to sit down and watch a film together before the business of Christmas begins.
#3- My favourite thing is giving people gifts that I know they’ll love and appreciate. I like to buy gifts for my friends and family that I know they’ll love and be so grateful for. I’m not one of those people that needs to receive a present when I’ve given one to someone, I just love giving people that little something to let them know I’m so grateful to have them in my life and appreciate the things they have done to help me through the year.
There you have it, my favourite things about Christmas. What are yours? let me know in the comments.
I’m always on social media, check them out:

I love a good pampering just like anybody and especially when I’ve had a stressful day. I love nothing more than to run myself a bath, face mask on and a good book at hand. What better way to relax and unwind.
After a stressful day I like to head home and put my comfy clothes on. I feel like once I’ve removed my bra and put my comfies on I’m set for the evening and nobody or nothing will get me back into my day clothes. I’ve opted for my grey jogging bottoms, baggy t-shirt and my grey slippers. I remove all my makeup using the L’Oreal Micellar Water and then use the Avène Cleanance Cleansing Gel.
At this point I’m probably hungry and I’ll go ahead and make some food, depending on how crappy the day has been I’ll either opt for some form of healthy meal or devour a pizza with no concern.
Now my tummy is full I’ll run myself a bath and add a Lush bath bomb or bubble bath. Today I’ve chosen Radox Stress Relief Bath Cream. It’s a gorgeous rosemary and eucalyptus smell and adds so much loving to my bath. It’s designed to calm stressful mood and it does exactly that.
Whilst the bath is running I’ll put a face mask on, I used the L’Oreal Detox Clay Mask. I love this one because it makes my skin feel and look amazing and healthy and it helps my skin to feel cleaner.
After the bath I’ll moisturise my face and body, using the Rituals Magic Body Cream on my body and the Avène Thermal Spring Water and the Avène Cleanance Expert moisturiser.
At this point decide whether I want to read a book, watch a film (usually a rom-com) or a TV Show and this time I went for FRIENDS because when can you ever not love FRIENDS?
I’ll cuddle up on my duvet, possibly with some ice cream or cake.. maybe even both and prepare myself for a night of relaxing.
What’s your pamper evening routine? Let me know In the comments.

Stockings are such a lovely gift to give each year where you can include so many personally gestures without it costing you a fortune. I’ve created a list of items you can get for both male and female stockings. I love my stocking and even at 20 I’ll open my stocking before any other gifts. It’s a tradition.
For a woman’s stocking there are so many things you can get for her, ranging from chocolates to beauty. It can be as big or small as you like, I’ve gone for a medium sized stocking this year.
My stocking is for my mum and I’ve decided to include a hand lotion and foot cream by Soap and Glory which will help with hard skin and creating softer and more hydrated hands. This was bought for £5 from Boots. I thing they’re such handy little products and mum can carry the hand cream around with her in her bag too.
I recommend Yankee Candles. The small Yankee Candles burn for 15 hours and are never for than £2. This year I put a set of 5 in my mums stocking, these are the Christmas collection from Clintons for £8.99. I bought my mum a candle holder for the Candles last year and she has been using it all the time.the selection of candles is so wide and they smell absolutely amazing, my mum likes to use lots of different ones instead of smelling the same all the time so these were perfect.
I struggle to buy for men and I think Matt is one of the most difficult people to buy for. This years stocking is full of little gestures that I know he’ll love and appreciate.
I come across this quiz game in B&M for £1.99. Totally inexpensive and so fun to play with the family over the Christmas period. I think these are such a fun little thing to put in the stocking and I know Matt will think it’s fun.
I made Matt a DIY jar of sweets, in my next Christmas post on Wednesday you’ll see a selection of DIY gifts. Matt loves sweets so I knew exactly what to include in his stocking. However I didn’t want to just add bags of sweets so I put them in a jar and added a pretty ribbon. A fairly straightforward gift and a lovely little gesture.
There you have it, a few little items to include in your loved ones stocking. Let me know what you guys like to put in stockings.

Happiness is different for each individual, it may be buying something expensive or simply going for a walk in the park. It’s a unique experience. For me happiness is laughing every single time I cry, not because i’m sad but because i’m so contained to the moment that I feel free. I laugh so much that I can’t help but cry and i’m okay with that, because for that single moment I have no fears, worries or anxieties. For that second i’m enjoying the life I was given and embracing it with open arms. Here is my list of 25 things that make me happy (In no particular order), let me know what makes you happy in the comments.
- Autumnal weather.
- Body confidence.
- Snow fall.
- Harry Potter.
- Make Up.
- Fall Out Boy.
- Matthew, my boyfriend.
- Comfy clothes.
- The Vampire Diaries.
- Bubble baths.
- Lazy days.
- My niece and nephew, Gracie and Ethan.
- Movie nights.
