Spring is basically almost over and I’m pretty delayed on showing you guys what lip colours I have been wearing but if I’m honest, these colours would look just as good in the summer as well. When I think of spring I always think of very soft pretty pink shades and beiges which is what I’ve been loving this spring.
I have three colours that I’ve been loving this season although two of them do look similar but they have different finishes. Depending on how I’m feeling or what event I’m going too I can pick between the Urban Decay Cream lipstick in Streak. The finish is actually really pretty and it does just sink into the lips leaving a beautiful subtle pink stain to the lips. This isn’t why I like wearing it though, it’s because it’s a cream finish and it isn’t matte and I love this for general daily wear.
For when I do want a stronger matte lipstick I like the Mac lipstick in Please Me. I love to wear this with a glam statement but neutral eye look. It’s extremely long wearing and lasts all night regardless of what I’m drinking or eating. It doesn’t bleed at all and just continues to look beautiful and clean looking.
The final product is in fact a lip pencil from L’Oreal in the shade 302 Bois De Rose. This is infact a lot darker but I think it looks lovely with a mauve eye and cheek. I mostly wear it alone because it does feel heavy on the lip but you can top it with your favourite lip gloss, I like Tanya Burr Lunch Date but this gloss can get very sticky.
There we have my 3 favourite lip colours this season! What’s yours been?

I have been an all time lover of the Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray. Together we are in a long term committed relationship and I’ve been loving it for a very long time. However, I recently come across the Rimmel Insta Fix & Go Setting Spray which I got from Superdrug for £6.99 and I feel like I’ve been having a secret but very happy affair with it and it may continue to go on for a very long time.
This product is a primer and setting spray which I love. I always like to apply my Maybelline Baby Primer and allow that to sink in and then spray the Rimmel Fix and Spray evenly across my face. I find that the best technique is to apply it in a cross shape in the air and let it settle onto the skin and wait for it to dry. It applies very quickly and it doesn’t make me look wet at all or overly dewy either. It really helps my makeup last a lot longer too. It doesn’t have any scent either which makes me happy since I’m not a huge fan of overly scented products at all.
I will admit, it doesn’t beat the Urban Decay setting spray but I do think it’s a brilliant and affordable alternative in the drugstore. It’s definitely ideal for beginners and would be an excellent product for those on a budget. The biggest issue that I have with this is the spriz on the botle top, I find that it doesn’t spray enough and I have to spend a fair while ensuring that it’s applied to the whole of my face. Admittedly, it does work better with the crossing technique but a better spritz would definitely make this the perfect product.

I recently went ahead and had a little clean out of my makeup collection. I think it’s so refreshing to remove any unwanted or unused products to make room for new releases and to also ensure that you’re not using products that are out of their expiry date. It’s so important that makeup users are aware of the expiry date that is set on each product, you don’t want to be using a mascara on your lashes if it is out of date as it can cause possible infections. This is the same case for face products too, they can cause a rash, acne and infections also. I will say, I didn’t throw massive amounts away and a lot of it I actually gave to people because the quality was good and I did at some point enjoy the product but I simply no longer use them and didn’t want to see them go to waste.
Whilst going through my clear out I thought I would with you guys what I would re-purchase from the items that I threw away and whether they’re worth having. Admittedly, not all of these products were out of date I simply threw them away or gave them away because I didn’t like them or they weren’t very good for my skin.
I did give away or throw some products that were totally disappointing, for example the Urban Decay Illuminating Trio was the biggest waste of money I have ever purchased. Along with the Urban Decay Original Primer Potion. Both of these products were awful and especially the illuminating trio. The trio were supposed to be highlighters but they had very little to no pigment to them. They were pretty much just shimmer and looked as if I had thrown small glitter pieces at my face. They weren’t even long wearing either. The primer potion just felt totally unnecessary and I feel that concealer works just as well than paying a fortune for the primer potion.
Another products that I was disappointed to be throwing away was the Sleek Matte Me Liquid Lipstick in Old Hollywood. If you don’t know already, I love these liquid lipsticks by Sleek. The formula is incredible, the pigment is outstanding and they’re not drying at all. However, this shade was awful. It was so patchy, it cakes up and literally would lay in ever single crease on my lips (yes, I do use a lip balm before applying them). I was shocked to dislike this product simply because I love the shades Birthday Suit and Velvet Slipper.
Finally, a product that was also really disappointed with was the Maybelline Sculpting Stick (I’ve totally forgotten the name). It is a cream contour and highlight stick and I think this was the most awful cream contour I’ve ever used. It just didn’t blend well and when it didn’t I found that the pigment was awful and just didn’t show at all. It was a total waste of money and I wouldn’t ever repurchase this.

For Christmas 2016 I received the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation as a gift from my parents. I had tried a sample portion during the summer of 2016 and I really enjoyed it and had informed my parents as a possible gift idea. So, ever since i’ve been testing it out to see whether it’s actually as good as I remember. Having spent the last month wearing it I’ve realised it’s actually not as good as I remember which has majorly disappointed me. So, since I was having so much trouble deciding whether I actually liked it I had my best friend Megan test it out too on a night out and Megan really liked it. Today’s review is going to be slightly different than usual, this time you’ll have 2 different reviews from myself and Megan.
Megan has combination to oily skin, the same as me but I do have quite dry skin around my nose. We both wore the foundation on the same night and throughout the night I noticed that the foundation was definitely sitting differently on our skins. For me I found that when it’s first applied, it’s beautiful and makes me look flawless but across the time that I wear it I find that it rubs off around my pores and nose area and really makes my skin look quite gross. Before it starts to move away from my nose I usually get around 3 hours wear time out of it and since it’s the ‘all nighter’ foundation I kind of expect it to last a lot longer for 3 hours. Megan actually really enjoyed wearing this foundation, she found that it didn’t go patchy at all and stayed put around her oily areas. It blended so comfortably on her skin and it literally done as it said on the tin and lasted all night.
I personally wouldn’t ever purchase this again but I know Megan loves it and would definitely wear this happily. Let us know what you think of it and give us recommendations for other foundations you’ve loved.
