A few months ago I bought the Sleek Cream Contour and Highlight palette. This palette holds 6 shades, 3 light for highlighting and 3 darker for contouring. Now, I’ve never tried cream contouring before and this was a whole new world for me. However, I did like the finish it gave me. Don’t get me wrong, at first I didn’t know what shade when where and how I used the product but eventually I figured out what was best for me and my skin and learned to enjoy the palette and technique of cream contouring quite a lot.
Is it worth the money? Yes, I think so. I got mine in Superdrug for £10.99. I looked at the reviews and some said it’s not good for oily skin, others said it’s not good for dry skin (so which skin type is it good for?!). However, other people were saying how brilliant it is. At this point I knew I had to get it and try for myself even if it didn’t work as well.
I got mine in light and the shades are ideal for my pale complexion. I often use all 6 shades and love the natural look it gives me. The product is very consistent, blends ok and can sometimes be a little tough, so it’s best to store it in an appropriate place.
The pans are extremely large and you get a fair bit of product, you can’t go wrong for £10.99.
Do I think it’s better than powder products? Unfortunately I don’t. I understand the concept but I just simply prefer using powdered products instead. I prefer the finish power products give me, although I won’t knock Cream products at all. In fact this palette has encouraged me to get more.
Let me know what you think.
With love, Beth x
