In one month I’ll be flying out to New York for the whole summer and whilst I’m there I will definitely want to buy a few new makeup bits. I’ve had my eye on a few things that I would like to purchase whilst in the States and I thought I would share with you guys what I’m thinking of purchasing when I’m out there.
Colourpop have become a world known brand and it’s near impossible to get delivered to the UK since the international delivery is so expensive. I’m super interested in purchasing some of the Colourpop single eyeshadows and some of the Colourpop liquid lipsticks and ultra satin lipsticks, especially the shade ‘November’ which is in collaboration with Kathleen Lights.
So many people have been raving about the Sonia Kashak Soft Focus Satin Matte Foundation and I can’t wait to pick it up and test it out for myself. I love a good Matte foundation and it’s apparently supposed to be really full coverage, so definitely looking forward to getting myself this foundation.
Tarte has been killing it with their new releases, but mostly I am so excited to get myself the Tarte Shapetape Concealer since so many claims say how amazing it is. I would also really like to pick up one of the Tarte eyeshadow palettes as I’ve heard people say how pigmented and bendable they are.
When I visited Spain last year with Matt I went into the Sephora but regretted never purchasing any of their brushes. I especially can’t wait to purchase some of the face brushes. I would also like to get some of the Sephora Collection face masks, especially the
A few other items that I would like to purchase are:
- Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer
- Wet & Wild mascaras.
- Jordanna Lipsticks
Perhaps I’ll even get the chance to pick up a few things that I’ve not heard of before. I’ll definitely be on the look out. Give me some recommendations in the comments on what you guys think I should definitely get.

Summer is here! I love doing seasons makeup looks for you guys and now the time has come for my summer makeup look.
During summer I love a very natural, bronzed look. I don’t use a lot of blushes or highlight at all either. Everything is very soft and neutral which I love for this time of year.
I never want to feel like I’m wearing loads of makeup when I’m in the heat. I find that it melts off my face and makes me feel more hot and sweaty than I feel necessary. I hope you like this look, enjoy!
Firstly, I started with the Revlon ColourStay Foundation and mixed it with the Stilla Aqua glow perfecting bronzer. I did this to darken the foundation because it was too light for me.
For concealer I used the Maybelline Fit Me for any blemishes and then the Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer under my eyes to highlight. Then I set all of this using the Maybelline Super Stay power but only in the places I’ve concealed so I still have that nice glow coming through.
I used only one palette for the rest of my base, the Tanya Burr Rosy Cheek Palette. I bronzed my forehead, cheeks and under my jaw line with this bronzer and added more than usual to look extra summery and tan. I lightly put the blush from the palette on the apples of my cheek (very light, it’s super pigmented) and then dusted the highlight on the high points of my face. I used my beauty sponge to buff everything out and look flawless.
For eyes I only used the bronzer shade from the Tanya Burr palette. I started in the crease and then dusted it all over my lid. I used the highlight for my inner corner and finished with the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.
For my brows I went in with the BBrowbar eyebrow pencil in Indian Chocolate and only filled in the areas that needed doing.
I lined my lips with the L’Oreal lip pencil in 302 and buffed it out with fingers. I then filled in my lips with the YSL Rouge Pur Couture lipstick in 218.
There you have it! My finished look. I hope you enjoyed. Check out my social media:

During the easter break I thought it would be the best time to start digging through my clothes and making decisions on what’s best to give to charity and pack up for the change of seasons.
If I’m totally honest, I hate this part of the year. It’s ridiculous how much clothing I keep based on how much they cost me and I barely bloody wear them. I’ve been looking through my clothes and I realised several things 1. How fortunate and grateful I am to own so many pieces of clothing. 2. How much I wish I hadn’t bought due to lack of wear in them and wishes I had donated the money to charity instead or saved it. 3. How I am so boring and I stick to the same clothes all the time and never experiment enough.
With that in mind, I’ve had a look through my cupboards and wardrobe and packed up my winter clothes ready to go home to my parents. I had a look through and threw away my old coats that I no longer wear, jeans that don’t give or look awful and tshirts that are discoloured, ruined and old.
I then went ahead and looked at the rest of my clothes and realised I own far too many pairs of pyjamas and they’re totally unnecessary. Some I’ve owned since I was a teenager and my goodnes aren’t they old so I went ahead and threw them away too. I did make a pile just for the charity and generally I only donated shoes because the rest of my clothes that I no longer wanted really wasn’t in a suitable condition to give away.
After doing this it made me feel so much lighter mentally. A clear out really helps to declutter your room but also to declutter your thoughts. I never realised how rewarding it to donate to charity either, there are so many people who aren’t able to go out and buy expensive things so it’s nice to know that my items are going to go a good person and someone who is deserving and grateful of these items.
I’m really glad that I’ve done this clear out and I urge you all to go ahead and do it too. Check out my social media:

A little warning.. but I’m going to be incredibly soppy as today is my boyfriend, Matt’s birthday! With that I thought it’s the best time to talk about him to you guys and why I think he’s an absolute star and deserves to have the best birthday ever. He also loves it when I write blog post’s about him so it’s a little gift to him.
So, Matthew. Since it is your 21st birthday and you have continued to make my life so much better since you’ve walked into it. I just thought, I would let you know exactly why I am totally and utterly in love with.
Ever since this little egg walked into my life he has turned it entirely upside down in so many ways and across the way we have found ourselves in some of the hardest situations but we always make it through and come out stronger and better than ever. I have never known someone who is so incredibly supportive and is always on the sidelines being my biggest fan. He never fails to lift me up when I’m down but always manages to knock me down slightly when I’m acting too big for my boots. He makes me laugh and smile when I’m at my lowest, whether I’ve had a bad day or feeling unwell, he manages to say and do anything he can to make me feel so much better than myself.
Happy birthday to my best friend my absolute world. I’m so happy to be spending another birthday with you. All my love.

I’ve come to a point now when I know its necessary to share with you what’s been going on with my life and what is going to happen. So, if you don’t know already I’ve been studying Childhood Studies in Aberystwyth University for the past 3 years and it’s finally coming to an end. Although I’m sad to see it go as I’ve changed and become a woman I’m proud to be, I’m looking forward to a new challenge and an exciting new path to take (when I decide what that is.. more to come).
After months in fact almost a year of hard work and dedication, my dissertation has finally been completed and submitted. It was a long time coming and for the most part I did enjoy writing it but it wasn’t easy but I’m glad I got to do it. A dissertation isn’t easy at all and people really don’t express how difficult it is to write at all, the stress that comes with it is bizarre and awful and I hated those parts, However, I really enjoyed gathering the data and writing up the statement of results, it was the most enjoyable part (alongside finishing it). For those of you who are currently finishing your second year and preparing to write your dissertation, you will eventually finish it and please remember to enjoy it. This piece of work is a representation of your entire degree and you deserve to enjoy it and embrace it.
With that, my degree is finally over! Three hard years of work, dedication and time. I’ve enjoyed my time in Aberystwyth as a student and I have grown to love and adore my little town and I can definitely see me living here, raising children and having a life. However, for now I know that this is a long shot and I have so much to do within the next few years and I can’t wait to explore this world we have and see what else I can become and achieve.
With that in mind, I’m heading to New York in 1 month. 12th June I’ll be flying to JFK and spending three months in America. I can’t wait to go! I’ll be working at a summer camp for the first few weeks and then spending some time travelling around the country and enjoying the aspects that I may never have to chance of visiting again. I’ll be scheduling posts for the months I’m away but generally I’ll be limited on social media and I’ll respond and upload as often as I can.
Since this is the end, I’ll be back in September ready prepared to write more posts and build my blog. Enjoy your summer! Check out my social media:

Having a spring/summer clean out is so beneficial for you. It helps you to look around at your belongings and appreciate the fact that you’re so lucky to have so many things (more than you probably should). Decluttering also helps you to consider the things that you don’t use or wear anymore and give them to charity or your friends or even throw away the things that simply are of no use.
If you don’t know already, I’m heading away to the states for 3 months and I’m going to have to start packing my things up to move out of my current home and store things with my parents or Matt for the duration I am away. Since this is the case, I went ahead and gave my bedroom a decluttering to help make things easier for when I finally head away. I also own a lot of things that aren’t of any use to me anymore and I’m simply just hoarding them which really isn’t good for the little space I have.
Since I am doing this over the next few weeks I thought I would give you guys some of my tips to declutter your belongings and help reduce the amount of unnecessary things you have.
Tip #1: Don’t throw everything away, find other uses. Give to friends or family, even perhaps donate to charity. You may find that a lot of the things you no longer want are still in decent condition and others may want them instead. I like to find clothing that I don’t wear no more or even miscellaneous items that I have no use for and give them to charity or my loved ones.
Tip #2: When organising your things, use boxes to categories your sections. For example: Box 1 for friends and family. Box 2 for charity. Box 3 for the bin. Normally I’ll put everything in box 1 and see if my friends or family want anything from them, if they don’t then it’ll go in box 2.
Tip #3: Stop finding reasons to keep things. You don’t need that cardigan with holes in just because you’ve owned it for 10 years. That’s a decent reason to throw it away (can’t imagine you would give it to friends/family or charity.
Tip #4: G I also find it so relaxing to declutter and give my living environment a good clean. Crack on some music, get yourself a cocktail and away you go. I find it extremely relaxing to give my living space a good clean and declutter, it helps me to think better and feel more productive as well as feeling more relaxed when I’m spending time there.
Let me know some of your decluttering tips!
