September Goals Update

Well it’s here, another monthly goals finished. Did I achieve them? Well, let’s find out. 

How have I done this September?

September has come and gone and at the beginning of the month, I promised myself I would attempt to 1. lose 3lb in weight. I’ll admit, this month has been difficult and that’s mostly because I’ve added exercise to my plan and it’s made my weight fluctuate massively. Since I can’t actually tell you whether I have lost a complete 3lb or not, I will tell you that I have officially lost 3 inches around my waist and 2 inches on my thighs. I’m super happy with the progress I’ve been making and I’m slowly starting to understand that even though I’ve not seen the numbers on the scale go down, that doesn’t mean my body isn’t changing and I’m not losing weight. This has been proven by the loss of inches on my body! 

I told myself I would finally give in and join the gym, making sure that I go at least 3 times a week. I did in fact join the gym and without any kicking or screaming, I’ve actually been going 5/6 times a week with 1 rest day on a Sunday. I’ve been really enjoying myself and adding more exercise to my life has given me so many new benefits, I’m so much more energetic, I don’t feel so drained at all and slowly I have managed to see a difference with my physical and mental health. 

Finding a new hobby is always difficult because I never like to leave my comfort zone but really, I picked one up without even noticing! Exercise has become an everyday, important aspect of my life. Whether it’s waking up and doing 15 minutes of yoga or heading to the gym. I’ve given myself something to enjoy that isn’t work or uni. 

Since I have moved to a new place I was so incredibly anxious that I wouldn’t make friends and I’d be the loner who sits by herself all the time. This didn’t happen and I’ve made some lovely friends whilst here in Carmarthen! They’re all so lovely and I’m so grateful to have been welcomed into their little uni families. 

The big one, so did I do it? Did I reach 10k on my blog? Unfortunately, I did not. However, that’s absolutely fine as we have another month full of blog posts ready for me to achieve that big milestone!
